We celebrated the boy's 4th year of life with a beach party this year. We had a lot to celebrate given the scary previous few weeks. Not knowing if the life of a precious child will continue gives one new perspectives on what it means to LIVE. Some birthdays pass without much regard for the actual reason for the celebration, "ho-hum another party to plan, I'll be glad when it's over..." BUT THIS YEAR, we thought about what it meant to celebrate a BIRTH, a LIFE, our son's LIFE.
We partied on the beach all day! Eating, talking, playing, celebrating his life & birth with family and friends. Never again will another birthday pass without significant thought on just why we share the joy of the birth of a loved one.
